The Menai Collection is the outcome of a material exploration project that involved the designer's attempt to create a composite material. Following the successful development of this material, it was utilised to design a suitable product, giving rise to the Menai Collection.

Made from mussel shells and held together with a jesmonite binder, the collection utilises shells that were hand-picked by the designers along the shore of the Menai Strait. Crushing the shells highlighted the beauty in the colours of the shells, giving the collection a natural and sparkling aesthetic.

Taking inspiration from the very shell that the collection is made of, the Menai Collection follows the fluid curves and form of a mussel shell. The collection consists of a small dry flower vase, tealight holder and a jewellery dish.
